Rahman is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon and the Head of
the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Sunrise Hospital since October
2005 performed the highest number of Laparoscopic surgeries i.e more than
1,20,000 Laparoscopic surgeries. He performed first Laparoscopic cancer surgery in
UAE, Bangladesh and Laparoscopic radical surgery in Sri Lanka and he has
successfully performed over 35,000 Laparoscopic Hysterectomies(TLH) so far and
training over 10,000 Doctors from his extensive expertise over a span of three
decades. Dr. Hafeez Rahman began his career focusing on Laparoscopic surgery in
1992. Most of the techniques he has developed over the years are followed all over
the world including countries like the USA. He was the youngest secretary of FOGSI,
the largest medical society in India, as well as youngest chairman of FOGSI. He has
done pioneering work to spread the benefit of Laparoscopy in all Asian countries. Asof today, over 1000 Gynaecologists have benefited from his wealth of knowledge
and expertise in this field.
